Anyone can fall in love quickly, but truly deep feelings are rare. Falling for someone is easy. It happens often. Liking someone quickly turns into butterflies in your stomach and the butterflies take flight. But the feelings can fade just as fast. Especially with young people. In love today, out of love tomorrow. When does it arrive: "the age of feelings?"

True feelings, the kind that aren't just about the rush of falling in love, are not so easy to put a number on.

Age of feelings

So what is love, or the age of feelings?:

  • Love is getting through hard times together
  • Love only comes with time
  • True love only arrives with age, or is only recognized then

It's not easy to answer. It can only be felt, and one thing always matters in love: "Actions speak louder than words!"

There's no such thing as an age of feelings, is there?

My friend Jessica tends to think the age of feelings isn't relevant. She believes you can love deeply at 20. It's all independent of age, she says. I, on the other hand, believe that over time, with your own experiences, you can love much more intensely. For me, the age of feelings plays a big role in the whole picture. Above all, what you've lived through together.

Whether you've gone through unemployment or illness together. These are truly formative experiences. That's why we keep debating the topic: the age of feelings.

Age of feelings

But this is exactly what can become a problem. With their own experiences, people, especially those who've been through a divorce, have trouble allowing deep feelings again. Those experiences left their mark. Standing at the altar together and swearing eternal love, and it ended in a War of the Roses in divorce court.

Drawing the positives from experience - The age of feelings

Yet it's exactly these experiences that can be the gateway to a great new love. The age of the relationship is something wonderful. When the necessary maturity and the experiences you've gathered provide a platform for something deep and new.

It's always a matter of perspective. Life is an ongoing process and situations change automatically. Every situation is unique and different. It's precisely our experiences that make us who we are. Love gives only itself. And the question of when love is most intense can only be answered by each person for themselves. Everyone feels differently.
